Desserts, snacks and sweets
Tapioca pearls, or tapioca granules, contain easily digestible carbohydrates and a little protein. They are formed during the extraction of starch from cassava roots. They are hypoallergenic, tasteless and contain no gluten or cholesterol. In everyday cooking, you can replace them with small pasta or rice (in soups or as an addition to sauces), but it probably tastes best in desserts, in combination with vegetable malts and fruit. Size L means quite large pearls.
