Soy sauce is obtained from a mixture of soybeans, wheat, salt and water by fermentation. It is one of the most important spices in Asia, although it has been becoming equally popular in the west for years.
Most often used for marinating, sauces, soups, wok dishes, although in Asia it is added to many other dishes. Here in the dark version. Dark soy sauce is thicker than light soy sauce and has a more intense color, flavor and aroma. It also usually contains less salt. Very popular in Chinese cuisine.
